The downtown area of Milford boasts a meticulously maintained town green, shops, restaurants, the harbor and the Metro-North railroad station providing would-be commuters with all that is necessary for a stress-free lifestyle.

The harbor has been showcased as one of the prettiest and most welcoming on Long Island Sound. It has become a tourist destination for boaters and the like. The head of the harbor offers a park with tennis and basketball courts,a playground,  public docking, a picnic area, shopping and top-rated restaurants. During the warm weather months, crowds are bustling, fairs, markets and concerts are plentiful, and the quaint bistros, restaurants and coffee shops that surround the town green are filled with excitement.

Milford is also home to two  public golf courses an indoor tennis facility and numerous parks and playgrounds featuring a variety of outdoor activities including biking, riding and hiking trails.

Several shopping options are available to residents including the Westfield Town Center, a 1.5 million square foot mall and the new Milford Marketplace, which includes a Whole Foods, several boutique-style shops and other major stores. Residents have every shopping convenience right within their home town.
